03 · Long-term commitment and surrender
Insurance is usually a long-term commitment. Early surrender can be costly and surrender value may be less than total premiums paid; loans, withdrawals, charges and low crediting can reduce cash value or cause a policy to lapse. Premium financing carries interest-rate and currency risk, and banks may call for additional collateral.

05 · Remuneration and potential conflicts

06 · Verification and cross-border advice
Before sharing sensitive information or transacting, verify institutions and representatives through the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) public registers, the Hong Kong Insurance Authority and the institutions' official channels. Cross-border clients should obtain independent advice on tax, foreign-exchange and reporting obligations in the relevant jurisdictions.

Insurers, banks, indices and product names mentioned are trademarks of their respective owners, used for identification and comparison only; no partnership, authorisation or endorsement is implied.
08 · Not a deposit
Endowments, annuities and retirement income plans are life insurance policies, not bank deposits. Early surrender usually returns less than the premiums paid. Guaranteed benefits are protected by the Policy Owners' Protection Scheme only within its caps; non-guaranteed benefits are not covered, and deposit insurance does not apply.
