Savings Plans Singapore

saving.com.sg is the English-language guide to savings plans in Singapore: participating and non-participating endowments, annuities and retirement income plans, how they sit alongside CPF and SRS, how they compare with T-bills, Singapore Savings Bonds and fixed deposits, and how to read a benefit illustration line by line. It is written for Singapore residents, expatriates and new PRs, and for the advisers who work with them.

The site follows one order: understand the contract first — what is guaranteed, what is not, what it costs to leave early and which CPF or SRS rules follow the money — and read the illustrated numbers second. Every figure carries a unit, a currency, a date and a source, and the sources page lists them all.

What this site does not do: it does not recommend or rank products or insurers; it does not publish any insurer's rates, payout percentages or break-even years as facts; and it does not promise returns, bonuses, approvals or tax outcomes. It is not an insurer, a bank or a tax adviser.

Division of labour within the network: saving.sg carries the Chinese-language depth on savings insurance, including education funds, single versus regular premium, premium financing and surrender; savings.sg covers cash management for new residents — buying T-bills and SSB, deposits, money-market funds and multi-currency accounts; ilp.com.sg covers investment-linked policies, including their CPF and SRS use; wholelife.com.sg covers whole life and legacy planning; xiaopoxian.com.sg explains Singapore's insurance regulatory system, nominations and claims. The Chinese pages on this site are summaries of the English pages, not a second site.

Editorial principles

  1. We compile only public material from insurers, banks, regulators and official statistics, citing source and date per item; where the source is silent, we do not infer.
  2. We separate guaranteed from non-guaranteed, fact from opinion, regulation from practice; illustrations, back-tests and past performance do not indicate future results.
  3. We do not recommend products or promise returns, approvals or tax outcomes; personalised advice is the responsibility of licensed or exempt institutions and their appointed representatives.
  4. Cross-border content states the applicable jurisdiction; readers should obtain advice in their own jurisdiction.
